Abstract |
A room. A young adult is sending an SMS to his friend next door. The other is refreshing his Facebook profile on his smartphone while the third, lying on his bed, is watching a online film on his laptop. A classic scene in any room on a Western university campus? Without a doubt, but also a classic scene nowadays in a Qatari labour camp inhabited by migrants from the Indian sub-continent.
